Matt Best has been shearing alpacas for over 20 years. He is also a gifted teacher. He shears large flocks all up and down the Eastern seaboard, as well as Washington state.
Sometimes the roles are reversed. Jozi has a faithful following of her own clients, mostly small herds that prefer a more relaxed shearing day.

Announcing Alpaca Shearing Stimulus!!
Best Alpaca Shearing presents the Alpaca Shearing Stimulus plan. Alpaca shearing is expensive. The bill at the end of shearing day sometimes seems daunting. At Best Alpaca Shearing, we try to help as much as we can. Our base rates have stayed the same since 1998! But we’d like to do more, so we are introducing our alpaca stimulus. Here’s how it works:
Monthly payments
Instead of one large yearly payment, we will divide our fees into 12 monthly payments based on your rolling herd average. Herd numbers fluctuate over the course of the year with births, sales, agisting, etc. We’ll use the average number of alpaca on your farm to compute monthly payments. After shearing, actual numbers shorn are compared with the average to settle the account. You may owe us a little more or we may owe you! That’s right, if we shear fewer than the herd average, we’ll pay you on shearing day!
While fees for herd health items and travel/setup won’t be included, our Stimulus plan will help ease the burden of the shearing day bill. Contact us to sign up today!

We understand the value of repeat customers. Some of our alpaca shearing clients have been with us for 20 years! We also know shearing is a competitive business. With all the e-mail blasts and Facebook friends out there it’s difficult for alpaca owners to know where to turn to book a shearing day.
Most of our new business comes through referrals from our happy customers. We’d like to reward their loyalty.
